We’re excited to announce two new features in the Inspections module: the Evidence field and Inspection Gallery. These releases give photo evidence a real home inside inspections, so capturing it during a walk no longer means creating a checklist question just to hold a photo, or logging it as an observation instead.
Plus, HammerTech Intelligence customers now have access to AI Photo Evidence Recognition, a new feature that compares dozens of photos against inspection checklists to speed up your reviews.

Inspections in HammerTech aren’t only a safety function; they’re how teams run daily and weekly checklists, executive walks, and quality reviews across dozens of different question types. If you had more than one photo for each inspection question, there wasn’t an easy way to add it.
With the new Evidence field, up to 10 photos can be added to an inspection question, and annotate them in the same image editor already used across HammerTech. All the images are then available in the Inspection Gallery — visible to every user working on it, not just whoever took the photos.
Adding photo evidence into an inspection can work in two ways:
Attach a photo in the Evidence field and save it to the Inspection Gallery automatically, or
Pull up the Inspection Gallery, select a photo, and attach it to any inspection question(s).
The Evidence field and Inspection Gallery are built for walks and the reviews that happen after. Whether one person is filling out the checklist as they go, or a handful of contributors are taking photos and then linking them up later, everyone has a more accurate, complete view of inspections.
Plus, the evidence doesn't stop at the inspection, either. Whether an inspection question has or doesn’t have attached photos, the PDF report will automatically reflect all photos from the site walk regardless, ensuring every team member, superintendent, or executive has visibility into what happened.
If you’re a HammerTech Intelligence customer, you can link evidence photos to your inspection questions even faster.
Within the Inspection Gallery, you can select up to 100 photos, and HammerTech Intelligence will analyze the context of your checklist questions along with the photo evidence, link that evidence directly to the inspection question, and flags any suggested matches to the top for a human review.
The result is a head start on matching, not a replacement for someone checking the work.

Will inspection photos appear in the PDF report?
